Heks "Mechteld ten Ham"

Mechteld ten Ham, 's-Heerenberg , The Netherlands, bronze, 1,20m high

The statue was firstly manufactered in modeling wax. The foundry made a mold of it and then they casted it in bronze.

The status was revealed on first easterday and at commision of the foundation of "625 year town" offered to the people of 's-Heerenberg. 

Mechteld ten Ham (past away 25 juli 1605) was a woman that lived in early 17th century in the city of 's-Heerenberg.

Ze became famous because she was accused of witchcraft. Later they condemned her and threw her on the stake.
